Heather Frahn is a qualified Sound Therapist working with holistic sound and music elements in both live performance, and wellbeing and healthcare environments. She embraces mindfulness meditation techniques with therapeutic sound instruments like gongs, singing bowls, voice and more, to help listeners to deeply relax and return to their natural ‘flow’. Therapeutic Sound helps to relax the system which puts the brain in a lower frequency state. In this state cellular regeneration may occur. Also the deep relaxation may help improve stress related illness.
Through her holistic-sound performance ensemble Harmonic Project, a meeting point is created for live music and sound therapy principals to be experienced with performances, retreats, and group sessions. More information about Harmonic Project here
Since 2009 Heather has been working as a Sound Therapist in the Arts in Health Program at Flinders Medical Centre, South Australia. Her work with Arts in Health brings together mindfulness meditation with therapeutic sound and music for relaxation and wellbeing.
Being a songwriter, musician and vocalist, Heather combines a body of high quality training in Sound Therapy with a beautiful musicality, sharing a unique perspective on Sound Therapy as an energy medicine and complementary therapy.
