Heather Frahn has a mighty voice and a music career spanning over 15 years. She has won several music awards including Most Outstanding Female Vocalist of South Australia in both 2000 and 2004, and Young Citizen of the Year in 2006. Heather is a performing solo artist who also leads many workshops in Australia teaching a-cappella singing, songwriting, sound healing, and percussion with people from all walks of life and diverse backgrounds in the community.

Using the Voice for Wellbeing

In Heather's workshop “Using the Voice for Wellbeing” participants learn an introduction to ancient healing techniques whereby the human voice resonates with the body's chakras, creating balance and wellbeing. She teaches Sanskrit Mantras as well as Vocal Toning to create inner balance. Heather provides a safe and friendly environment where you can explore the ‘spirit of your voice' and find what makes the powerful vibrations of your voice special for your body, mind & spirit.

Embrace the power of sound... open your heart and become still... become one with your own healing vibration... open your 'third ear' and listen.

Singing in your Harmony

Heather has been working with community a-capella choirs for years teaching contemporary vocal song arrangements. This workshop teaches different vocal singing parts which all fit together to form a whole 'choir' sound. Heather teaches vocal harmonising and singing as part of a group in a-capella style. Get ready for an uplifting feeling that comes from singing together as one voice!

You don't need prior experience, and you don't have to read music... this is a workshop for finding your singing spirit and singing from your heart. All you need is a love for singing and openness to participation.

Song Creation and Recording

Heather's songwriting skills have been loved around the world, and have been the focus for songwriting and recording workshops with community groups. She has the ability and openness to work with all sorts of people with a holistic and professional approach to song writing and creativity. This combination of attributes produces results which have brought positive outcomes in skill development, community connections, and healing to the people Heather has worked with.

Heather leads songwriting workshops that embrace people's ideas and support their learning process. Heather can run "once off" workshops or on going workshops over a series of weeks with emerging songwriters, poets and musicians.

If you would like to organise a songwriting workshop with Heather please contact her with your ideas. Her workshops often involve a small performance of the written songs at the end of the creative process.

Sound Vibration for Wellbeing

Heather Frahn has worked at Flinders Medical Center in Adelaide in the Arts In Health team.
She takes to patients on hospital wards gentle music with string instruments, her voice, Tibetan Singing Bowls and Chinese Chao Gongs to bring relaxation and well being.

The ancient and pure sounds from Singing Bowls and Chinese Gongs in particular, allow a gentle nurturing of the body, a calming of the mind and rejuvination of the spirit.

If you would like to organise a Sound for Relaxation and Wellbeing session with Heather please contact her. Informative presentations/workshops are also available, and are accompanied with a guided sound meditation and gong 'sound bath'.
