All sound is in the present moment. The healing energy of sound is the perfect means to open yourself to the spirit of meditation, to find your balance and your joy.

Begin your weekend with a rejuvenating “sound bath” on Friday night as you release yourself to the vibrations of sound. This retreat will be filled with the resonance of Himalayan singing bowls, gongs, bells and other harmonic vibrations, with guided meditations, ritual recitations and mantra. The weekend will include formal presentations and opportunities to dissolve into the power of your inner ear. Presented by Swami Dayananda, with therapeutic sound practitioner and musician Heather Frahn, and Harmonic Project.

Join us for an extraordinary weekend.

Lokananda Retreat Centre is just north of the Barossa Valley. The fine original stone buildings first built in 1871 have been lovingly renovated for retreats. A perfect get-away to replenish and heal. Come join us!

Heather kicked off the first night of the Homebrew Songwriting Project series this week! If you live in the Fleurieu Peninsula area of South Australia, and love to sing, play an instrument, create poetry or write songs, THIS is for you!

HOME BREW is about the ebbs and flows of life on the SA south coast through the medium of song-writing. 6 Workshops + 6 open mic recording sessions = 1 CD!

Home Brew is presented by Alexandrina Council, Country Arts SA, and Arts SA for Just Add Water 2013 through the Cultural Places Initiative, an Australian Government pilot program through the Australia Council, its arts funding and advisory body. It is also supported with the generosity of sponsorship partners the Hotel Elliot, Hills Cider and Vale Ale.

Heather get’s standing ovation!

Heather recently supported Jon Anderson (the lead singer from YES) at the Governor Hindmarsh Hotel in Adelaide, she performed solo with her hybrid acoustic bass-guitar, stomp box and her mighty voice, to a packed house!… It was a great honour to support Jon as he is a living legend in music. Heather received a standing ovation from the audience at the end of her performance! Heather’s next performance is on May 26th at The Gov for the Daybreak Music Fest with her full band “The Moonlight Tide

An Intimate Evening With Jon Anderson – The Voice Of YES with Special Guest Heather Frahn (solo acoustic)

One of the most recognisable & influential voices in progressive rock, as the lead vocalist and creative force behind the band Yes, Jon Anderson was central to that band’s phenomenal success. Jon’s solo show includes classic tales from his days with the supergroup and his ensuing solo career as well as the timeless songs from all across the Yes songbook & his own eclectic solo work.
Jon is touring Australia at present and will be performing in Adelaide on Sunday April 14th with Heather Frahn as special guest at the Governor Hindmarsh.

WOMAD is the World of Music, Arts & Dance, founded by the musician Peter Gabriel in 1982, and WOMADelaide, the Australian WOMAD festival, kicked off in 1992.

Over the past 20 years it has become one of the nation’s favourite outdoor festivals, not only because of the unique and extraordinary music it presents, but also because of its beautiful and friendly vibe. Families are welcome (kids 12 and under get free entry) and the diversity of the audience is almost as astounding as the line-up.

WOMADelaide runs over four days in Botanic Park in inner-city Adelaide. The program features performances and workshops on seven stages by the world’s best traditional and contemporary musicians, dancers and DJs, a KidZone activity area, street theatre and visual artists, the Taste the World cooking program, The Planet Talks environmental discussions program, The Electrolounge, Artists in Conversation and around 100 amazing food, retail and charity stalls.
