Information about Creativity Australia

First in SA

The With One Voice Kingston Park choir was the first With One Voice Choir established in South Australia. Many of our choir members are local, coming from the southern beach suburbs but we also have people who travel from the other side of Adelaide to come and join us, for singing and supper on Wednesday nights.

It’s a ‘Goldilocks’ choir

Not too formal, not too casual, it’s the perfect mix of learning and fun. Quite a few of our choir members have sung in different choirs for many years. Others have never sung outside of the shower or in their car, and some didn’t even get into their high school musical! But here, all voices are welcome.

Uplifting songs

Our songs are quite unique. World music. Traditional songs from tribes and cultures across the globe, plus original songs composed by local artists.

If you love the idea of singing in a group, learning beautiful songs and creating harmony, come join us.

For more information: Check out our facebook page… or call David Kelly on 0414 516 986

“The choir is like a family, with strong friendships and connections being made within a diverse group of people. The songs and music bring us all together with common themes that share the goodness in humanity, peace, and the light of the world.”– Heather Frahn and Michelle Byrne, Former Co-Conductors of WOV Choir Kingston Park

handmade hemp jewellery by Heather Frahn

Heather’s handmade hemp jewellery!

Most of you would know me from music and sound in some way. But did you know that I also make jewellery? I studied jewellery making in the late 1990’s when I was a youngster, and over the years I’ve really enjoyed dabbling in it still, even though music has been my main creative focus. I love natural materials like wood, twine, shells and seeds. I’m very chuffed to announce that my good friend Sally Francis and daughter Isla, have invited me to have some of my handmade hemp jewellery in their new sustainable shop ‘Perhaps Hand’, situated in a groovy little spot in Adelaide’s city.

Go grab yourself a gift, or buy up on sustainable items for Christmas for your loved ones at ‘Perhaps Hand’!

Here’s the details about ‘Perhaps Hand’:

Run by Sally and Isla Francis, the ‘perhaps hand’ store promotes sustainable living through the sale of recycled and handmade goods, including clothing, books, jewellery, artworks, skin care and homeware products.
They make it easy for you to buy responsibly with the health of our future in mind. Feel good about purchasing with 5% of their sales donated to Conservation SA.

Based at The Mill artist precinct in Adelaide, the ‘perhaps hand’ store is situated in a lively arts environment and is located adjacent to the central gallery space, which hosts an ongoing artist residency program, and other creative retail outlets (see website for more details).

Opening Hours: Fridays 10am – 6pm, and Saturdays 11am-5pm
The Mill, 154 Angas St, Adelaide SA 5000

Dream Weaving – community arts event presented by The Hutt St Centre, Adelaide

‘Dream Weaving’ – a community arts event presented by the Hutt St Centre

Would you like to help homeless and vulnerable people in Adelaide? Yes you can, by coming along to the ‘Dream Weaving’ event on Thursday December 6th 2018 and make a donation to the Hutt Street Centre. We would love to see you!
I have had the privilege of working for the Hutt Street Centre for the last few years off and on with music and wellbeing programs. The staff at Hutt St do an amazing job by supporting people who are homeless, at risk, or vulnerable. One of their programs is ‘The Harmony Weavers’ Womens Wellbeing Choir which I co-facilitate each week with fellow music-sister Michelle Byrne. Throughout this year we’ve met for singing, sound healing, meditation and social time. It’s been a true highlight of my life!
The Harmony Weavers is sharing some songs at the ‘Dream Weaving’ event in collaboration with Hutt Street Centre’s Drama Group, facilitated by incredible actress (and my good friend!) Bronwen James. I would really love to see you there to help us share our weaving of dreams with you through poems, songs, music and stories. Here’s the details:

When: Thursday Dec 6th 2018
: Light food provided from 5:30pm.  Show starts 6pm. (concludes approx 7pm)
Free entry, but please, if you can, make a donation to help support the great work of the Hutt Street Centre. There will be ways to donate on the night.

Please phone NINA on 0428 357 904 for more info or RSVP via Eventbrite link above.

Along the way, children are enticed to become part of the performance. They are free to take part or observe, venture out or stay close, touch and go – just as they need to.
